Welcome to Grade 8 Science!
Grade 8 Science is a course
that aims to develop scientific literacy. Scientific literacy is an evolving
combination of the science related attitudes, skills, and knowledge students
need to develop inquiry, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; to
become lifelong learners; and to maintain a sense of wonder about the world
around them. You will discover things about the scientific world around you
through in-class work, labs, field trips, activities, group work, poster
projects, and web research. Grade 8 Science is a core subject required for
promotion to Grade 9.
